No — Topaz uses neural networks specifically trained to enhance detail and reduce noise while avoiding hallucinated textures or ringing artifacts.

Can I upscale video frame-by-frame?

Yes — the video upscale endpoint processes frames with temporal consistency, preventing flickering between frames.

What input formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, and WebP for images. MP4 and MOV for video. Source files should be under the size limit specified in the API docs.

Is Topaz only for upscaling?

Through RunAPI, Topaz offers image upscaling and video upscaling. Both endpoints also apply noise reduction and detail enhancement as part of the upscale process.
