How precise is the background removal?
Recraft's background removal is optimized for clean edges on product photos, portraits, and design assets — even fine details like hair strands are preserved.
Can I chain upscale and background removal?
Yes — remove the background first, then upscale the result. Both endpoints accept standard image formats and can be called sequentially.
What input formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Background removal outputs PNG with transparency. Upscale outputs match the input format.
Is Recraft suited for batch processing?
Yes — both endpoints are fast and stateless, making them well-suited for e-commerce catalog pipelines that process thousands of product images.
