Midjourney creates high-quality images from text, edits source images, animates still images into short videos, and can reverse-engineer prompt ideas from an image. WorkBuddy speaks MCP natively, so once RunAPI is registered as an MCP server, Midjourney shows up as a callable tool — no Discord bot workflow, browser automation, or separate media provider to maintain.
Use the runapi MCP server to generate a Midjourney image.
Requirements:
- Call the runapi create_task tool with service "midjourney" and action "text_to_image".
- Set model to "midjourney-v8.1".
- Set prompt to describe the image.
- The task is async. Poll it with get_task until status is "completed".
- When done, report the image URL from the task output.

Add the RunAPI MCP server
Register an MCP server named runapi in WorkBuddy, pointing at https://runapi.ai/mcp over streamable HTTP with your key read from RUNAPI_API_KEY. If RunAPI is already connected for chat, Midjourney tools are exposed by the same server.

Prompt the workbench agent to call the runapi create_task tool with service midjourney, action text_to_image, and model midjourney-v8.1. For editing or animation, have it switch the action to edit_image or image_to_video and include a source image URL.
